The Espresso Lounge Pitstop

In March 2010 we set up “The Espresso Pit Stop”; a Peugeot Partner with an authentic Italian Espresso machine fitted in the back. It was driven and operated by me and started it’s humble beginnings in a lay-by on the A41.  Each early morning start battling the cold, showers and strong winds taught me the relationship between meteorological conditions and coffee beans; I really learnt the hard way!

Determined not to fail and prove my worth to the family of coffee connoisseurs I formulated methods and relationships to produce the perfect coffee.  People always ask how The Espresso Lounge is different to it’s much larger competitors and it really is simple! For the first time in the history of coffee making, here at The Espresso Lounge we approach each and every customer with Baristas who understand the fundamental rules of making coffee and are also trained to make each drink to the customer’s desired taste.

From The Pit Stop we then travelled to Stratford-Upon-Avon where we spent 8 months formulating our menu and spreading the love for our magic beans.

It’s not just our coffee that has grabbed the attention of many people; our homemade food offers the perfect accompaniment to even the most discerning palate. Both Clare and I have extensive experience in the restaurant industry and have managed to create the perfect balance of simple, authentic ingredients prepared with a touch of magic.

Nineteen months on and we can count several national companies amongst our clientele even serving our buffets at Ascot, all the while serving an Espresso that would make our Italian ancestors smile!  Visit our New Coffee shop located in Tring, enjoy our comforting atmosphere, relaxing music, excellent customer service and delicious menu.  At The Espresso Lounge, we listen to our customers and represent our brand with a welcoming smile.

I’m often asked how far we plan to expand our brand in the future. Both Clare and I are inspired to grow our passion for coffee and food even further and take our brand as far as possible.  Opening outlets and growing our fleet of Pit Stop vans will not only benefit our brand, but more importantly offer employment in our local communities discovering the world class baristas of the future.
